For this week’s Ted Talk Thursday, I’m switching gears a little with the theme of the video (a little, but not too much). It’s still a video that can help us live a better life. And it has great life lessons. But it’s not directly about self improvement or self help.

At first glance, the speaker may not seem like someone who is worthy of a Ted Talk and at second glance he might seem like the luckiest person on the planet. But take 20 minutes and watch this… It’s amazing. Trust me.

And do yourself a favor:

Do not let your mind trick you into thinking he’s just lucky. He’s not. Believe me.

But he is a great example of how we should all live our lives. We should be who we want to be. We should live how we want to live. And we should trust ourselves.

Some of you may know a little or a lot about Law of Attraction. The Secret was a huge book about it. But that book didn’t really work for me. And I don’t think it really worked for a lot of people. In my opinion, it didn’t do Law of Attraction justice. There is so much more to know about it.

But the man thing is to feel how you want to feel in order to attract something like love or a job or money or whatever. The key is to feel it, be open to it, and to not have any resistance to it.

This guy obviously has and always had zero resistance to success. In other words, he didn’t fear failure, which ironically often stops success.

He simply felt a pull to do something and chose to do it. Not tomorrow, not next month, and not next year. He just did it.

He didn’t wait until it made perfect sense. He didn’t wait until he had a plan. And he didn’t wait until he knew every step that would make him successful. There was no way he could have known. He just did the next right thing.

Too often we all wait to do what our gut or our heart or whatever is telling us to do because we don’t know how we can succeed. But this just paralyzes us. And it stops us from beginning. And, of course, if we don’t begin then we will never succeed.

So, please don’t chalk his success up to being lucky. He took action without being concerned about outcomes. And that is a huge lesson to learn! The world is truly our playground. And just about anything is possible. Don’t believe me? Then just watch this:
