For this week’s Ted Talk Thursday (TTT), I decided to post an awesome video that deals with spirituality and science. The speaker is Jeff Lieberman, and he’s great.

I wanted to post something about spirituality, since that’s been on my mind more and more lately. Its what led to my previous post and it’s probably what I’ll write about in my next post. So, this Ted Talk is perfect.

He starts out talking about impatience – impatience with waiting in line or raising our children. Inpatience is a theme I’ve been struggling with, especially over the last several months . I think most of us struggle with it. We all want what we want and we want it now! And when it doesn’t come right away, we become unhappy and sometimes hopeless.

So, right off the top, I liked this video.

But then the talk gets even better. And it builds off of last week’s video (especially at about the 6:15 mark of the video and beyond). I really like how he talks about life being a game and us playing. These are ideas that keep coming into my life too. As is the idea that we are all connected. We are. I’m convinced of that.

I do wish he’d gone a little deeper with somethings… but I guess Ted Talks only allow about 15 or 20 minutes. And I don’t necessarily agree with all of it. In fact, I would argue that the energy he’s talking about is tied to our spirits. And I don’t think he takes it far enough, and he focuses too much on us being energy instead of taking it farther and focusing on what is beyond the physical world and what’s beyond the energy. But I do think this Ted Talk leads me (and maybe you too) closer to the truth.

I’d love to hear your thoughts…
